Only 15-20 minutes car ride away from your accommodation is Dorchester - the county town of Dorset.

   Maiden Castle
The finest known example of a prehistoric fort in this country, with enormous earthworks and complicated entrances which date from the Iron Age. The banks enclose an area of 50 football pitches, which would have homed over 200 families.
