Weymouth, a seaside town and favourite with leisure boats, was originally a fishing village but grew in the 17th century before becoming a major seaside resort.

Weymouth has all the things you would expect from a British seaside resort, including a marina, ferry port and harbour, miles of sandy beach and a pedestrianised shopping area with all your favourite department and fashion stores - plenty of places to spend your money!

There are numerous things to do other than shopping and enjoying the beach at Weymouth - take a look at the list below or click on the numbered links on the map to find out more ...

  Weymouth Tower
When it is finished the £3.5million attraction – on the corner of Weymouth’s Festival Pier – will overlook the Olympic Festival Village.

The tower will provide a bird’s-eye view of the course over which the sailors will be bidding for medals in the Olympics at Weymouth & Portland Sailing Academy.

The tower, which will be operated by Weymouth Sea Life Park owners Merlin Entertainments, will offer views into the English Channel and many miles along the famous Jurassic coast.
